Bio
Dr. Natasha Hubbard Murdoch, PhD, MN, BScN, RN is an Assistant Professor in the College of Nursing at the University of Saskatchewan. Her clinical background spans oncology, orthopedics, and long-term care. Her dissertation explored the threshold concept of interprofessionality and the transformative journey of undergraduate healthcare students becoming effective team members. A work grounded in understanding the personal and professional supports required for confident decision-making.
She teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses. Her approach for undergraduate students has been about building capacity to succeed and passion for their careers. Graduate students are provided a relational formal mentorship. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes critical reflection, interprofessional collaboration, and the development of compassionate, competent healthcare professionals.
Her collaborative work is with family partners, students, and colleagues from diverse disciplines, reflecting her commitment to inclusive and relational approaches to care and education. She has been an interprofessional planning member of a couple community-driven Summits for older adults and those who care with them; a way to support interdependence, network building, and access to care resources.
